Former mayor Richard Riordan will formally endorse his pal, Austin Beutner, this morning at a media op in the produce district. Beutner, until recently the first deputy mayor to Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, originally hooked up with Villaraigosa through an introduction by Riordan. An hour before the Beutner event, Villaraoigosa is scheduled to release his budget for the year at a media op inside the Central Library — make that the Richard Riordan Central Library.
