In his followup on the separation of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. New York Times bureau chief Adam Nagourney calls them "one of America’s most unlikely and riveting couples" and says the news "suggested the end of what has been one of the more remarkable political unions, one that brought together a product of Hollywood and a member of one of the nation’s most celebrated political dynasties." State Sen. Bob Huff is leading the GOP charge to save redevelopment agencies, while his wife is a consultant to developer Ed Roski, whose firm has built numerous projects in redevelopment areas. LAT

Cynthia Ruiz, the friend of Antonio who has been president of the Board of Public Works since 2003, will now oversee external affairs and legislative efforts for the Port of Los Angeles as deputy executive director of external relations. Breeze
