  • The state sales tax dropped by one percentage point today and the vehicle license fee by 43%. LAT
  • The city released heavily redacted records on use of the "gold card" parking desk and among those who had multiple tickets dismissed was former Building and Safety head Andrew Adelman. LAT, DN
  • Immigrant rights organizations filed a suit against Sheriff Lee Baca over what they said was his failure to release public information about the department's cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. LAT
  • A third version of draft congressional redistricting maps for Rep. Loretta Sanchez largely restores her Latino, Democratic geographic base and removes Little Saigon, which leans Republican. OC Register
