The Santa Monica restaurant Fraiche is hosting a seven-course wine dinner next Wednesday that's not for the unemployed or those whose 401-k's have cratered. The lure is the The Redd Collection of Fine Wines, "featuring such bucket-list wines as a '37 Sauternes that was once gifted by Frank Sinatra. '90 Salon le Mesnil will be poured with kampachi sashimi; '97 Harlan Estates with Wagyu steak." Space is extremely limited, they say, and full payment is required just to secure a reservation. The tab: $1,300 a person. Tax and tip not included. Full menu
