Hypersonic plane lost on test flight

mach-20-plane.jpg The Falcon, an unmanned experimental space plane launched this morning at Vandenberg, is designed to fly 13,000 miles an hour, or 20 times the speed of sound. Contact was lost shortly after the craft was turned loose from a rocket at the edge of space.
