LA Observed on KCRW: On downtown stadiums

safeco-field.jpgOn my trip to Seattle, I enjoyed seeing the infield grass at Safeco Field from my hotel room window. For the Mariners game we walked across the street, bought tickets and were in our seats in less time than it takes to hike into Dodger Stadium from the parking lot. Nice urban scenario, but not necessarily applicable to AEG's proposed football stadium at L.A. Listen to tonight's column at KCRW.com.
