Adam Roberts began blogging about food in 2004, grew it into a part-time gig with The Food Network, and now calls himself a full-time food writer. As of tomorrow, he's also an Angeleno. He's been chronicling the move on his blog, The Amateur Gourmet, even letting readers know he's ready to drug the cat and head for the airport in the morning. "I won’t wax too sentimental in this post; New York, you know I’m going to miss you," he says a touch wistfully. "And L.A., I’m excited to see what you’re all about." That's his new kitchen in what he calls Franklin Village.
