County goes upstate for probation chief

Jerry Powers, the Probation Chief for Stanislaus County, has been tapped to take over Los Angeles County’s troubled Department of Probation, Witness LA reports. L.A. County's CEO William Fujioka is recommending an annual salary of $255,000 per year, plus $25,000 to help with the relocation of his family.
