According to the new biography of Steve Jobs, he was making it a personal project to help the New York Times figure out its digital strategy, hence that meeting with 50 NYT executives. "I would love to help quality journalism," Jobs said in the book. "We can't depend on bloggers for our news. We need real reporting and editorial oversight more than ever." Romenesko
