USC Annenberg's Center for Health Reporting has partnered with eight ethnic media outlets (representing Latino, Filipino, Caribbean American, African American, Chinese American and Indian American communities) to gauge the impact of the impending closures of more than 300 Adult Day Health Care centers, most of them in Los Angeles County. What they found? It's bad. As many as 38,000 seniors and disabled will be forced either into nursing homes or into in-home care by family members. The web package includes stories, a photo gallery, audio slideshows and more.
