  • The City Council is expected to vote today on which style of bridge will replace the 6th Street Viaduct over the Los Angeles River between Downtown and the Eastside. Previous LAO post
  • City Attorney Carmen Trutanich endorsed Joe Buscaino in the 15th council district runoff.
  • The captain of Robert Wagner's yacht said on the "Today" show that the actor was responsible for wife Natalie Wood's death in 1981, by not launching a full-scale search the night she was discovered missing. They had a major fight before she disappeared, Dennis Davern said. Previous LAO post
  • 14 protesters were arrested early this morning at UCLA after refusing an order to pack up their tents.
  • Arrests for serious crimes have more than doubled in the area around Occupy Los Angeles since the camp began, LAPD officials say.
  • Occupy L.A. members filed a request for a temporary restraining order on Thursday that would block the LAPD from closing the City Hall encampment without notice.
  • The Hollywood Reporter was the big winner at the Press Club's entertainment journalism awards. Tara Wallis-Finestone, senior producer for NBC4-LA, and Dylan Howard, executive editor of RadarOnline, won as entertainment journalists of they year. Winners
