NYPD begins raid on Occupy Wall Street

occupy-nyc-streamgrab.jpgHundreds of New York police arrived at Zuccotti Park about 1 a.m. and began clearing the park of Occupy Wall Street protesters. The occupiers have been told they will be arrested if they don't leave. Occupy Wall Street sent an email blast to media about 1:20 New York time saying "Liberty Square (Zuccotti Park), home of Occupy Wall Street for the past two months and birthplace of the 99% movement that has spread across the country and around the world, is presently being evicted by a large police force. Press should get to the park immediately."
