Evan Kleiman talks about shutting down Angeli

Thumbnail image for evan-kleiman-angeli.jpgThe owner of Angeli Caffe got a little emotional talking with host Lisa Napoli last night on KCRW. The Melrose Avenue restaurant closes Jan. 8, and Kleiman says she may be facing bankruptcy. She's also surprised and awed by this week's outpouring of affection for her Italian cafe, and jokes in an unguarded moment at the start of the segment that ten bucks from everyone who ever ate there would solve her money problems. Listen here. Kleiman's blog entry.
