Lakers trade Odom to Mavericks, Times says

The Lakers get a first-round pick in 2012 from Dallas for Lamar Odom, who came back to the team after his trade to New Orleans (with Paul Gasol for Chris Paul) was voided by the league. The Lakers also have pulled out Saturday of a new bid to acquire Paul, and the Clippers have emerged as a frontrunner for Paul. LAT, ESPN LA

Also: Ryan Braun, the Milwaukee Brewers slugger who beat out the Dodgers' Matt Kemp for the National League MVP award this season, will be suspended for the first 50 games of next season after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs, reports say. Braun is appealing.
