City Council votes to require condoms on porn actors

The 13-1 preliminary vote today would remove to need to spend $4 million to $5 million on a ballot measure — by adopting the measure's provisions. Members of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation had submitted enough signatures to put the question on the ballot, probably in June. City Attorney Carmen Trutanich's office is on record saying the city doesn't have the legal authority to order condoms be used in adult films shot in Los Angeles.
