Linda Deutsch celebrates 45 years at AP

linda+deutsch+45yrs.jpgThey had a cake yesterday at the Los Angeles bureau of the Associated Press for special correspondent Linda Deutsch. She has been with the wire service for 45 years — and her photo was taken by another 45-year veteran, Nick Ut. Can we just say — that is a lot of wire copy (and photos.) "Seems like yesterday I first stepped into a room full of clacking teletype machines and cigar smoke and began my journey with the AP," Deutsch tells friends on Facebook. "The noise and smoke are gone, but the great people of journalism remain."
