'Political Oscars' for California

sutter+brown+nbcla.jpgPolitics commentator Sherry Bebitch Jeffe has awarded her "first annual" political Oscars on NBC LA's Prop Zero blog. Gov. Jerry Brown wins best performance by a Democrat, Rep. Darrell Issa best performance by a Republican. Her runner-up to Brown, by the way, is Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, "for his 'Hamlet,' and the wrenching monologue, 'To be L.A. Mayor—or not to be.'" Bebitch Jeffe's best supporting actress is Anne Gust Brown, who has "has tempered and focused the former 'Governor Moonbeam,'" and supporting actor is the Browns' dog Sutter: "An authentic post-partisan, Sutter has friends on both sides of the legislative aisle." Kinde Durkee also makes an appearance.
