kemp-lopes-homerun-42812.jpgHigh fives all around — the McCourt pox has passed from Dodger Stadium. The new owners of the Los Angeles Dodgers will be introduced Wednesday at 10 a.m. in center field. The Dodgers media advisory says the event will be carried live on Channel 9, Prime Ticket, MLB-TV, MLB.com and Dodgers.com. There's also a call-in number for media to listen to the press conference.

Those attending from the Dodgers' new front office:

  • Mark Walter, CEO of Guggenheim Partners, new controlling partner of the Dodgers
  • Stan Kasten, president and CEO
  • Magic Johnson, minor owner but majority face of the new ownership
  • Investors Peter Guber of Mandalay Entertainment, Todd Boehly of Guggenheim Partners and Bobby Patton, a Texas energy investor.

AEx-players Don Newcombe, Maury Wills, Tommy Davis, Ron Cey and Steve Garvey will be there as well. Vin Scully and ex-manager Tom Lasorda will have roles in the ceremony. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Councilman Ed Reyes are also expected to take part.
