Kings finish LA's weekend sweep

doughty-kings-phx-lak-getty.jpgAfter the Lakers and Clippers won their game sevens to advance in the playoffs, the Kings skated to a win in Arizona tonight to begin round three of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Kings captain Dustin Brown scored the game-winner in the third period. An empty-net goal in the final minute put the game away, 4-2.

The Clippers won just their second playoff series as an LA team, and avoided blowing a 3-1 series lead.

The Lakers eliminated the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night, ensuring that all three Staples Center teams will keep the arena full — and downtown bars busy — for at least another week or two.
