Lakers come close, but can't finish off Nuggets

Kobe Bryant almost single-handedly brought the Lakers back from a big deficit in the final minutes of tonight's game at Staples Center, sinking three-pointers one after another. Bryant scored 43 on the night. But the Nuggets hung on to win 102-99 and stay alive in the best-of-seven playoff series. Game 6 is in Denver Thursday night with the Lakers up 3-2 and able to clinch if they win.
