Nice win by the Los Angeles Galaxy this afternoon at Home Depot Center. The Houston Dynamo scored first, then the Galaxy took over the second half of the game. Landon Donovan scored the second LA goal and Robbie Keane the third on penalty kicks. Seconds before the end of the game, David Beckham left the field to big cheers. It was his final game for the Galaxy. Donovan declined after the game to say whether he would return to play next season, divulging only that he looked forward to shaving off his "nasty beard."

The win gives the Galaxy the league's Anschutz Cup trophy over Houston for the second straight year. More than 30,000 fans packed the Home Depot Center. "I'm sad it's the end," Beckham said after the game. Philip Anschutz was on the podium as the Galaxy received the trophy.

Also this weekend: Stanford beat UCLA for the Pac-12 football championship.
