Campaign 2013

Greuel goes up with another TV spot, on waste theme

Here is the second 30-second TV spot from the Wendy Greuel for mayor campaign. Script is below.

Millions of dollars worth of city gas – missing.

$4.8 million on free cell phones for City employees.

City officials traveling in luxury while libraries are being closed.

I’m Wendy Greuel, and as Controller, the waste I found could have paid to keep our libraries open, and fund millions of dollars for afterschool programs.

As a parent with a child in our public schools, I’ll be a mayor for all of LA – every school, every child.

The Eric Garcetti campaign responded right away: "The audits she mentions in her ad have not recovered any money for the city. In fact, the city has only recovered $239,000 from all of Greuel's audits combined since 2009."
