Variety, Deadline to sit together in West LA

variety-sign-300.jpgThe Deadline.com team broke the news last night that parent company PMC is moving Variety out of its Miracle Mile office tower, and the Deadliners out of wherever they sit, and throwing them together in a building on Santa Monica Boulevard beside the 405 freeway. PMC will take 50 percent of the space in the ING Direct building at 11175 Santa Monica Blvd., says the story. "PMC’s new corporate headquarters will occupy four floors (including the top three) and will be completely renovated. One floor will include a full video production studio for news, a photo studio, and three green-screen rooms for PMC’s YouTube network ENTV as well as its other channels."

The story says that Deadline is now housed at PMC’s corporate headquarters at 9800 S La Cienega Blvd, which is near Inglewood and LAX. Until I hear it directly that Nikki Finke has been commuting to Inglewood-adjacent, or for that matter that she will be going into an office shared by her hated Variety rivals in West Los Angeles, knowing that someone is bound to take her picture, I will assume that the Finkster telecommutes. Shall we say.
