When I was on Facebook tonight, this invitation popped up for a Wendy Greuel fundraising reception in Venice scheduled for Friday. It appears that Eric Garcetti bought ad space opposite the announcement. Follow the red arrow...

Hard not to notice that Councilman Bill Rosendahl is the reception's special guest. His chief of staff and successor-elect on the council, Mike Bonin, is a Garcetti supporter.

Noted: Both Garcetti and Greuel billed appearances at the May Day labor and immigrant rallies downtown on Wednesday. Here's a pic of Garcetti speaking early in the day.
