Lamar Odom arrested in the Valley for DUI *

This is, I guess, a follow-up to the earlier gossip from TMZ and others that Lamar Odom's family feared he was off on a drug binge. (His rep said he was fine.) The former Laker and Clipper was arrested early this morning after being observed on the eastbound 101 freeway driving a white Mercedes sports utility vehicle under the speed limit and erratically. The CHP officer who tried to stop the car said Odom kept driving from Sepulveda Boulevard all the way to Coldwater, then exited the freeway and pulled over. He showed obvious signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests, according to the arrest report. He reportedly refused chemical testing at the LAPD's Van Nuys jail and was booked at 5:01 a.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and possibly drugs. He was released after 3½ hours on $15,000 bond with a court date in Van Nuys for Sept. 27, the LA Times says.

On the report, Odom gives his address as on Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills. Odom is married to one of the celebrity Kardashians, but does it really matter which one?
