Diesel Books in Malibu is for sale

diesel-books-malibu-tmt.jpgNine years after first opening in Malibu (at another location), the owners of Diesel, A Bookstore say they need to get out and focus on their other stores. “We’re just struggling to keep the [Malibu] bookstore, to keep people coming,” co-owner John Evans told the Malibu Times. They have a store in Brentwood and two in Northern California, in Oakland and Larkspur. “In general, bookstores are best when local people that own the place and live in the place work in the place,” Evans said. “I don’t work in Malibu very often and I’m probably not going to. And that’s what we realized, that neither of us is going to work there.”
