LAPD officer killed in Beverly Hills traffic crash*

lapd-officer-killed-ktla.jpgA Los Angeles police officer was killed this morning and a second injured when their LAPD car collided with a truck in Beverly Hills, City News Service is reporting. The crash occurred near Robert Lane and Loma Vista Drive at about 8 a.m., according to the Beverly Hills Police Department. The LAPD has not yet released the names of the officers involved.

* 10:30 update: The officers are from Hollywood division, the LA Times says. A male officer in the car died and a female officer was seriously injured.
