Derek Fisher to coach Knicks for Phil Jackson

derek-fisher-on-lakers.jpgDerek Fisher was sort of an unofficial assistant coach of the Lakers when Phil Jackson was the real coach here. Several media outlets report that Fisher will be introduced tomorrow as the new coach of the New York Knicks, where Jackson is in charge of the basketball team. Corralled by reporters after the Kings-Rangers game at Madison Square Garden tonight, Jackson wouldn't confirm or deny by quipped: "Go Fish." Fisher has not coached in the NBA before. In fact he was still a player with the Oklahoma City Thunder during the current NBA playoffs.
