Bruce Jenner rear-ends car on PCH, causes fatality

jenner-crash-tmz.jpgAs if Bruce Jenner didn't have enough going on. It appears that the Olympic champion who is famously going through a transition to female banged into the back of a stopped car Saturday on Pacific Coast Highway, pushing the car in front into traffic. In the head-on crash that followed, the woman driving the car hit by Jenner's Escalade was killed and several people were injured. PCH was closed for a time on both sides of the wreck at Corral Canyon Road. Initial tabloid reports are that Jenner is going to blame the crash on being chased by paparazzi. But, well, maybe they were following him, but chasing would imply he was fleeing — and it was Jenner who failed to stop, apparently. Jenner may not wish to be photographed, but he has enough experience with paps to not feel physically threatened or harassed by them.

TMZ says that Jenner passed a field sobriety test and was taken by sheriff's car to a hospital to have his blood voluntarily tested for alcohol. Have to suspect it's his phone and texting logs that deputies will really want to see.
