Hennessey + Ingalls, the arts and architecture bookstore that shocked its fans by announcing last fall it was moving downtown to the Arts District, has been open a couple of weeks in the One Santa Fe complex. It's perhaps a better location for selling design and architecture books: facing the long windows of Sci-Arc, the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Not to mention all the other construction and openings happening in that section of DTLA. The neighborhood gets another bookstore later this month when Artbook opens in the anticipated new Hauser Wirth & Schimmel gallery and shops complex at 901 East 3rd Street, about two blocks from Hennessey + Ingalls.

The newly located Hennessey + Ingalls is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.
