50th anniversary of the Little Rock Nine

Little Rock NinePresident Dwight D. Eisenhower mobilized the 101st Airborne Division to help escort nine black students into Little Rock's all-white high school on this day in 1957. Nothing in the LAT about it today, so here are some news links to various views of the desegregation of Central High in Arkansas half a century ago.

It was the first test of the Supreme Court's Brown v. Board of Education ruling. More archival photos here.
