Tick tock

The pages have started to come in, and I'm glad to say, everyone seems to be having a good time with the writing. Any of the submissions so far could work for a script. But will one of them work for this script? Maybe. Depends on what else I see between now and tomorrow night.

Which reminds me -- don't bump up against the deadline too hard, especially not this time. You probably won't want to be bothered to polish and post your pages during the Oscar telecast, which always runs longer than it's supposed to. And also, we're still ironing out a few glitches in our submission system, so just to be safe this first week, please don't assume your pages have been received until you hear back from me.

To prevent problems, it would help to attach your scene to an email in two different forms: one in some kind of script format, either through Word or a screenwriting software program; and again as either clean text or an ascii file from that program. If that's too much trouble, send it in any old way, and we'll hope for the best. You'll hear back from me pretty quickly with a confirmation.

Assuming, of course, the best screenplay awards aren't being announced.
