Channel 13 leaves Hollywood

KCOP-TV has put its La Brea Avenue studio up for sale and moved across town to West L.A. The station, owned by Fox Broadcasting, now shares space with Fox's channel 11 on Bundy Drive. With KCBS and KCAL recently crammed together, and the Telemundo stations now bunking with KNBC in Burbank, only three L.A. TV stations still broadcast from their own studios. Channel 13 had been in Hollywood since the days of local programming like Hobo Kelly and Romper Room. (L.A. Business Journal)

Is Bundy Drive named after Al? Any shoe stores? Too much.

I believe Al was named after the street. One of the original writer-creators on the show saw the name on an off-ramp street sign and thought it fit the character perfectly.
