February in Santa Monica won't be the same

For years now the American Film Market has taken over Santa Monica's sidewalks, restaurants and movie screens in Feburary. Starting next year, the market will shift to November in order to go head-to-head with the Milan film show. From the Hollywood Reporter.

In other Santa Monica news...the city likes to be ahead of the curve, but this is almost ridiculous. The annual "July 4" fireworks this year will be fired off the night of---June 28.
