L.A. Observed is going quiet for several hours. I'm off to the Valley to sign books at the Borders store in Northridge where my book has outsold Harry Potter and many other best-sellers. It's a mystery -- not the book, but why so many copies move at that one store -- so whenever they ask, I come.
