Taking the fray home to Brentwood

KCRW is throwing a fundraiser at the home of Arianna Huffington on July 13 that will feature a live presentation of Left, Right and Center, the politics show on which Huffington opines with Robert Scheer, David Frum and Matt Miller. How much, you ask? $150 per, but at least the food and drink are from Michael's. It's part of the station's campaign to replace its aging Santa Monica College studios. On today's show, the argumentative foursome went at it over the Supreme Court's rulings on affirmative action and gay sex. Opinions ranged from Huffington's surprise that private sex between consenting adults was illegal in parts of America ("preposterous") to Frum's dismay that anyone thinks the current Supreme Court is conservative.
