Just as baseball isn't the national game anymore, the Dodgers aren't the cultural glue they used to be in Los Angeles. But they still matter to many people, so here's an item. The Dodgers are winning tons of games despite being dead last in scoring. That's so rare that a pro-Red Sox blog, Greg's Baseball, etc., has crunched the stats and pronounces: "the Dodgers have a great chance to be the best worst hitting team ever." He also finds that so far in the season, L.A.'s relief pitching has been the best in either league since 1974. "If the Dodger’s pitching staff continues to achieve around the same pace, they will be one of the best pitching staffs ever." Link from Dodger Thoughts, the blog by Jon Weisman.
