The Times and the D.A.

Since Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas won't let the L.A. Times see press releases from his office, the Times is resorting to official freedom of information requests. Now they are squabbling about that, with the DA alleging the paper is trying to scoop the competition, and the Times' chief spokeswoman insisting the paper should get what everybody else (read The Register) gets.
