Venice is safe for the summer

A midseason spinoff of the WB's "Gilmore Girls" that was to have been shot entirely on location in Venice won't happen. Too expensive, says TVWeek.com. Amy Sherman-Palladino, creator and co-executive producer of the shows, took the news well: "I should have listened to what my mother told me when I was a little girl: 'If you set a show in Venice, no one's gonna pay for it."
