As reader "la s'nooze" points out, Jill Stewart's latest syndicated Capital Punishment column -- naming a bunch of big-money contributors to Gov. Gray Davis -- ran in the Sunday Viewpoint section of the Daily News. It's her second DN appearance of late, giving her an L.A. outlet that she has missed since the closure of New Times last year. The piece focuses on Jerry Perenchio, the chairman of Univision, who also turns up in RiShawn Biddle's piece in today's L.A. Business Journal on executive compensation. Perenchio pops up at the top of the list of "most effective" local CEOs, in that he takes no salary and the company is doing well.
