Locals shut out of Loeb Awards

UCLA's Anderson School gives out the Loeb Awards each year to recognize the best in business journalism. At the banquet last night in New York, none of the L.A. finalists won, although former L.A. Times writer and news editor Jon D. Markman -- now an investment strategist and columnist at MSN Money -- did pick up the honor for online reporting.
