Arnold's press evasions
L.A. Times political writer Mark Z. Barabak was one of the gang on CNN's Reliable Sources on Sunday and disclosed that the day Schwarzenegger was mugging for TV cameras in the Valley, his campaign assured real reporters there were no events that day. You think Arnold is avoiding the press? Meanwhile, at California Insider Dan Weintraub, in a post called The Race to 40 Percent, takes an intriguing look at the numbers behind the numbers in the recall race. A lot smarter than my off-the-cuff figuring a week ago. And in the LAT, columnist George Skelton rants against the recall process then says Davis should either turn into a reformer or step aside for Bustamante.
