More high-level moves in big PR

Alan Arkatov, a former television producer and media consultant for James Hahn and Bill Clinton campaigns, is taking over the new position of President and CEO of the Southern California region for Burson-Marsteller. He starts tomorrow. A press release from the big international PR firm also announced that Bill Kahrl, former Opinion Editor of the Sacramento Bee who has been with the firm for six years, will head the Sacramento office. Earlier, L.A. Observed noted the hiring of former Hahn senior aide Matt Middlebrook by competitor Fleishman-Hillard.
