Victoria Riskin was reelected president of the Writers Guild of America, West. The rest of the top officers were reelected too, without any of the turmoil that surrounds the Screen Actors Guild votes. Stories are in the Hollywood Reporter and L.A. Times, where James Bates adds a factoid I hadn't previously noticed: Riskin is the daughter of Fay Wray, who starred in the original King Kong. WGA release.
Considering that the WGA is just waking up to the world of reality TV and talk shows (you mean Oprah doesn't make up everything she says?), this election doesn't seem too earth shattering. Non-signatories now run TV and both the DGA and the WGA stood around and watched it happen.

And the daughter of Robert Riskin, the man largely responsible for "the Capra touch."
