Bunch of interesting L.A. presence on Schwarzenegger's transition team, including Richard Riordan and Eli Broad (do they go everywhere together?) and Democrats like mayor Jim Hahn, Bob Hertzberg, the former Assembly Speaker, Robin Kramer, Riordan's former chief of staff, and law prof-columnist Susan Estrich. Also Ivan Reitman, Tammy Bruce, Rick Caruso, even Bill Simon. Let's check back in three months and see if it means anything or whether the whole non-partisan govern from the center thing is just show business. It may be Arnold's thing, how could we really know, but is it Dreier's and the other Republicans who've just tasted victory? In any case, this figures to be the most interesting time to be a journalist in Sacramento since Jerry Brown was boss.
