The fat lady is warming up

The new L.A. Times Poll pretty much agrees with all the others (except CNN-USA, which seems to have overstated everything). Barring the unforeseen, the outcome looks certain -- Gov. Arnold. With 28% of Democratic likely voters saying they won't vote for Bustamante, it makes the Feinstein decision to stay in Washingon pretty costly, in retrospect. For me the only remaining question is who will get the most votes, Davis in a losing cause (a "no" vote on the recall) or Schwarzenegger. That race appears closer than I'd have thought. Too close to call in fact, based on the Times poll -- but it won't be if McClintock's voters shift en masse to Schwarzenegger. Here's the poll results in PDF.
