He talks about Negro President: Jefferson and the Slave Power at LAPL's "Aloud at Central Library" program Tuesday night at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, Simon Winchester comes in to talk about The Meaning of Everything: The Story of the Oxford English Dictionary. Both events are free.

Chuck Palahniuk (Diary) is on KCRW's "Bookworm" this Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
