The February issue of Los Angeles is the annual Oscar-timed number, with Patricia Clarkson and Benicio Del Toro on the cover. Inside are a piece on the culture of In-N-Out Burger and my story on the public relations giant Fleishman-Hillard, its L.A. honcho Doug Dowie and his influence with mayor Jim Hahn. If the usual practice is followed, none of the issue will be online until after the first of the month, and then only select pieces.

Correction on the contributor page: my book on Wilshire Boulevard is due out later this year, not this month.
