There's always next year

A couple of blogs mostly rooted in Los Angeles, Slate's Kausfiles and the Volokh Conspiracy, were finalists in the Blogger of the Year category of the first Opinion Awards given today by The Week magazine. The winner: Joshua Micah Marshall of Talking Points Memo -- and I believe he used to live out here. [Indeed he did...check out this poignant post from last June where Josh revisits the spot on Foothill Boulevard in Claremont where his mother was killed in 1981. Thanks to Paul Rodriguez for the reminder.]
