Edgar calling

Southland by Nina Revoyr, Steve Oney's And The Dead Shall Rise: The Murder of Mary Phagan & the Lynching of Leo Frank and Steve Hodel's Black Dahila Avenger are local finalists for the Edgar Awards given by the Mystery Writers of America. Joseph Wambaugh, the former LAPD cop turned bestselling yarn spinner, will receive the Grand Master award at the banquet in New York on April 29.
